On OS4Depot there is an AHI driver update for AmigaOS 4 by H. Kanning. His driver support PCIe sound cards that are compliant with the Intel HD Audio chipset specification.
The changes in this update include bug fixes in the selection of the recording source, the addition of support for Sam440 and Sam460 by Acube motherboards, 24-bit recording function, and HD Audio front panel support have been added. The Terratec AUREON 7.1 PCIe model has also been added to the list of cards that now works with AmigaOS 4.
AHI modes that come with this update
In the AHI prefs, you will find 16bit and 32bit HIFI modes with this driver installed. The output of the AHI HIFI mixing routine will always be 32bit. This driver will automatically select the best available resolution for playback. A basic HDmixer tool is included to provide volume control. It saves the changes to envarc: so that AmigaOS 4 keeps the changes after a reboot.
