This program is available for several systems including Classic AmigaOS, MorphOS, and AROS. You can now translate to many languages in AmigaOS, MorphOS, AROS, and AmigaOS 4. But that’s not all folks!

The goal of this project that you can read much more about here is to improve AmigaOS understanding of multi-byte languages as well such as Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and others. If you want to help improve AmiTranslate, then feel free to join our Discord channel here.

AmiTranslate isn’t using Google Translate

Usually, when using a site to translate texts from one language to another there are other good solutions than Google Translate. So we have been testing DeepL and it is fantastic!

AmiTranslate is therefore using DeepL to translate on AmigaOS, as it does make better results than Google translate in most cases (at least if German and Norwegian is the target language). It also has an API to use and the first 500.000 chars are free, so I created a little program for Amiga to use that API.
