Alien Breed 3D

Introduction

One of the first true Doom-style FPS games on the Amiga. It was developed by Team17 and published by Ocean Software. With Amiga’s strong Paula soundchipset, this 3D FPS game was a pioneer in many ways in the same way as Doom was.

Breathless

Doom and Doom II

Introduction

Both of these games were never released for the Amiga platform.

Instead ID Software was so kind at the end of 1997 to open-source Doom and Doom II source code. This meant that Amiga’s got Doom on 26th of December 1997, with the releases of ADoom by Peter McGavin and DoomAttack by Georg Steger to name two of the most known Doom ports.

A major, highly playable version (v1.3) by Peter McGavin was released on February 4, 2001
