Just want everyone to know that the Powershark review is now updated with correct information. Also, I agreed it felt a bit harsh, but I wanted to keep it as a purchase experience review still. So, I’ve also changed the title for the review.
The Powershark product itself is 10/10. But I dedicate this website not just to people having tons of power adapters and cables at home like myself, but also for people who are new to Amiga. If you buy a Powershark, you need to know what you have or don’t have. I understand the risk for the author to bundle a power adapter with it. But Alinea has a power adapter as an option to buy together with the Powershark. But they do not offer a USB-C cable that you also need.
For the review to hit 10/10. All of the retailers that offer a power adapter. The same retailer should also offer a USB-C cable. The two other retailers don’t offer anything besides the Powershark product itself. Which is worse in my view for people who do not have what the Powershark needs.
So, the Review is a purchase experience review. Powershark cuts the need for huge PSUs connected to your low-end Amiga. It makes it so much easier with the requirement of a USB-C cable and a proper USB-C power adapter. It’s not the author’s fault at all, but the Amiga retailers should help the buyers way more. They become a part of the whole purchasing process if the user purchases it without getting what’s needed, and then she or he will complain.
