Power Adapters with USB-C cables that Works!

In my review of Powershark here, my verdict still stands. All items should be available for purchase from the retailers that are allowed to sell this product. However, I have found power adapters that come with a USB-C cable, which is known to work. I thought it would be nice to add them here.

I have also included information about what type of USB-C cable works with the Powershark.

Here are two options that I found from the official list.

I am sure that there are more that meet the Powershark demands.

The PowerShark is designed to work with any 12V-capable USB-C power supply (often referred to as a “power brick” or charger) that supports the USB Power Delivery (PD) standard.

Sufficient Wattage/Current: The power supply should have enough power to meet the Amiga’s needs. The PowerShark specifies the following maximum continuous output currents (which the USB-C power source must be able to support):

  • 5V: 4.5A (Peak 6.5A)
  • 12V: 1.0A (Peak 2.0A)
  • -12V: 0.1A (Peak 0.13A)

A common and readily available option is a 65W or higher USB-C laptop charger that supports PD, as these typically offer the required 12V and high enough wattage. Some lower wattage chargers (like 30W) may also work, but you should always check their detailed specifications to ensure they support the 12V profile and can deliver enough total power for your Amiga’s configuration (especially if it has accelerators or other expansions).

Some retailers have recommended specific models that they have tested, such as a UGREEN 30W USB-C charger or similar products from brands like Anker with PowerIQ.

USB-C cable that works with the Powershark

The USB-C cable needs to support 60W or 100W, and it must contain an E-marker chip. Buying a cable explicitly rated for 100W is the safest way to ensure it has the necessary chip and wire gauge to handle the power demand.

In short, look for a high-quality, high-wattage USB-C cable (60W or 100W rating) to ensure necessary power from the power supply.

I hope that this info is a nice addition to the review that you can use when purchasing the Powershark alone. No links to Amazon on this site earn me money. I do it to help only. Thanks for understanding. Make your low-end Amiga happy. Powershark is a great product.
