This must be the most beautiful accelerator ever made for Amiga 600! Its not only a upgrade from PiStorm600 in my eyes, but the total feel. PiStorm16 by Michal transforms and make any Amiga 600 to a remarkable masterpiece of a computer! Totally!
The PiStorm16 addon for Amiga 600 is designed to work with the Raspberry Pi Compute Module 4 (CM4). This allows for a more compact and integrated solution for Amiga 600, which is the smallest Amiga ever produced by Commodore. Reality is that fitting a accelerator isn’t the easiest task, but Michal have done just that task much easier. PiStorm16 changes everything,… Everything!
Enhanced power for Amiga 600
The goal of PiStorm16 is to provide a more accurate and powerful Amiga experience for the users of Amiga 600. With the Emu68 firmware package that comes with the product, you can for sure feel the speed boost either you use AmigaOS 3.1, AmigaOS 3.9 or AmigaOS 3.2!

Together with the PiStorm16 accelerator you also install a Raspberry Pi 4 CM4 motherboard that features a Broadcom BCM2711 quad-core Cortex-A72 (ARM v8) 64-bit processor. The CPU is clocked at 1.5 GHz, but can be overclocked with to 2.2GHz and beyond.
Make your Amiga 600 over 210 times faster!
You cant really measure 68000 7.14MHz vs Raspberry Pi 4 1.5Ghz ARM CPU, but I do it for the fun of it anyway for a Raspberry Pi 4 that is not overclocked.
To get a raw clock speed ratio: 1.5 GHz / 7.14 MHz ≈ 210. So, purely in terms of clock speed, the CM4 is roughly 210 times faster. What you can do with this new setup is mindblowing … what you get for your purchase is also so much more.

Just look at the FPS in Doom with a Raspberry Pi 4B+ running at 2.2GHz… Already Raspberry Pi3A+ which I have in my Amiga 2000 is remarkable faster, but this is just next level…
Watch movies in MPEG or blasting others in Quake 2 is now possible. Try that on a 68000…

Affordable upgrade for your Amiga 600
And what about the price you ask? For less than 130 Euros you can get it. If this isn’t a bargain compared to other accelerators for Amiga 600, then I dont know what to say. Just remember that 2GB RAM is enough as AmigaOS which is 32bit cant access more.
Once the Amiga 600 which my colleague is recapped, we will give you full info and video about how to install and use AmigaOS with so much power. PiStorm project is really good as it makes Classic Amiga way more affordable to have while making a lot faster. With the significant advancements that PiStorm16, with Emu68, brings to the Amiga platform.
The PiStorm project as a whole is a testament to the ingenuity of the Amiga community. Check out the Patreon page for way more info.
