The very first release of SketchBlock for AmigaOS 4.1 by Andy Broad was released on the 30th of January 2012. There have been four updates to SketchBlock Professional Edition for AmigaOS 4.1 and he as the coder and user of the art program has taken it to his heart. It is one of the most advanced applications ever released for AmigaOS 4.1 and I as a designer would love to use it daily.

SketchBlock is a powerful digital painting package for AmigaOS 4.1, offering smooth, responsive tools to create images in High Dynamic Range color.

SketchBlock and Jazz Showcase by Andy

Version 2.6 remains available from Download From OS4Depot it says on his website and may be thought of as a basic demo, though the feature set has moved on way past this older version. Version 3 of SketchBlock to be known as ‘SketchBlock Professional Edition’ will be available to purchase from the AmiStore for £15.00 plus VAT with a discount for registered users of ‘SketchBlock Lite’.

I don’t know if the application is still available through AmiStore or how to purchase it as I don’t own any AmigaOS 4.1 computer. But this is for sure a solid piece of work for any AmigaOS 4.1 user to buy and support. There is a Demo of SketchBlock 2.6 on the OS4Depot site.
