The project is called Amiga 1600 (confidentially A1600), which is a project inspired by the historic Amiga 1000, from which it inherits style and philosophy, but in a more compact, more powerful, and richer in modern functionality.
If you love the Amiga 1000 from 1985, and if you like to build, fashion, and experiment, then the Amiga 1600 is designed just for you.
Prepare your station: the new “classic” generation is coming from Italy with full Amiga passion and love.
Amiga 1000 in the heart, but modern enough to be named Amiga 1600
Yeah! This is a project heavily inspired by the first Amiga 1000. But now in 2026, there are tons of improvements too so it feels way more modern.
The Amiga 1600 will be designed for those who love to experiment:
- Built-in CF card interface
- Replacing the “fixed disk” on the fly
- Ability to easily change operating systems and configurations
- Double internal floppy unit:
- 1x traditional floppy drive
- 1x Integrated Gotek
