AmigaOS 3.2 introduces path Autocompletion in Shell

In our first article, we looked at the new Shell possibilities. In this second article I bring you more AmigaOS 3.2 introduction info where we focus on the user interface itself. MUI (also known as Magic User Interface) is known for having a very nice Iconified function for all of the apps that are using this GUI tool. All of the apps that you run can have this iconified option. You can alter this in MUI prefs. But this function wasn’t possible with icons in AmigaOS GUI itself until now.

AmigaOS 3.2 can iconify all of the System GUI Windows

As with all MUI apps. AmigaOS 3.2 will let you iconify all of its windows thru its intuition. This is very handy as some of the windows you have opened can be iconified and be useful later. It will make AmigaOS easier to use. Amitopia will for sure write much more about this feature once we have AmigaOS 3.2 for a full review later.

Another nice new feature of AmigaOS 3.2 is that the ReAction GUI toolkit will do a comeback. With extended functionality and lots of bug fixes, it will shine even more. The new intuition.library function that allows you to move the windows out of the screen is now built-in by default in it. Also, a fall-back method is also added for those that use the CyberGraphX RTG system.

Good-Bye to the default Topaz font

AmigaOS needs to evolve and it is nice to see that Hyperion takes it seriously. The new GadTools GUI is now font scaleable in most of the Workbench programs. GadTools GUI have now become font sensitive and this means that AmigaOS can properly adjust to different font sizes. So now you’re not forced to use the topaz font as the default one anymore.

Hyperion seems to have really understood that the Classic Amiga line isn’t dead. It is fantastic to see that AmigaOS development goes forward. It must as now Vampire V4 Standalone is giving the 68k side of Amiga a nice boost. So, we hope to see AmigaOS 3.2 release soon. And maybe with some moral addon. Apollo Team would be able to bundle this with it? … .. . or do you force these amazing Classic Amiga helpers to stay with AROS 68k?

What if Amiga community which supports you could decide? … .. .
