New Handy!… tool alert! 💛
Just landed on Aminet and I had to tell you about it right away. It’s called AmiDrop and it makes sharing files on the Amiga so much easier.
What is AmiDrop?
AmiDrop is a new drag-and-drop file utility for AmigaOS. Think of it like a little dropbox for your Workbench.
Drag files onto it, and AmiDrop handles the rest. Whether you’re moving files between partitions, sending stuff over your network, or just organizing your drawer, this tool makes it click-and-done.
In 2026 we’re still getting brand new quality-of-life tools for our Amigas. I love this community so much.

Category: comm/net – so it looks like it also has some networking features built in. Can’t wait to test it with my Miami setup.
Why this matters
Little tools like this are what keep the Amiga usable in 2026. It’s not always about big games or demos. Sometimes it’s just making Workbench feel smoother, faster, and more modern.
