Stop everything. Someone just made a native Telegram client for the Amiga. And it actually works.
It’s called Telegram Amiga, and it’s brand new on Aminet. No browser. No bridge. No PiStorm required. Just pure MTProto running on your classic Amiga, AROS, MorphOS, or AmigaOS 4 machine.
Wait… Telegram on Amiga?!
I know. I had the same face when I first saw it. But yes. You can log in, send messages, join groups, and chat with all your Telegram friends directly from Workbench.
The developer made versions for basically every Amiga-flavor in 2026. Because of course they did. We don’t leave anyone behind.

- TelegramAmiga.lha – m68k-amigaos – 316K – For classic Amigas: A500, A1200, A4000
- TelegramAmiga-OS4.lha – ppc-amigaos – 421K – For AmigaOS 4.x
- TelegramAmiga-MOS.lha – ppc-morphos – 460K – For MorphOS
- TelegramAmiga-AROS.lha – i386-aros – 318K – For AROS 32-bit
- TelegramAmiga-AROS64.lha – i386-aros – 432K – For AROS 64-bit
All of them use native MTProto, so it’s the real Telegram protocol. Not some web wrapper.

Requirements: TCP/IP stack like Miami, Genesis, or Roadshow. And of course, an internet connection.
Why this makes me happy
Because it means the Amiga isn’t holding anything back. This application is for talking to people. For 2026. Right now.
Imagine this: You’re rendering something on your THEA1200 or any other Amiga that is compatible, and a Telegram notification pops up. From your Amiga. To your friends. In 2026.
That’s the future the entire Amiga community want.
