New Amiga web browser and email client by Paweł Nowak share the same rendering engine!
Amiga developer Paweł Nowak has just released version 1.0.0 of two brand new applications: Amelinium web browser and Emalinium (scroll down) email client.
This is a major milestone for modern Amiga internet software in 2026. Thanks to mr Nowak for his Amiga Love!
Amelinium 1.0.0 – The New Remarkable CSS Web Browser in Development!
Amelinium is a new web browser for Amiga systems. The big headline? CSS support! Ibrowse still doesn’t have it but costs. Aweb is free, but the CSS support is just experimental while in Amelinium you start to actually see websites looking better and better!
According to the Paweł Nowak tests against Chrome:
- CSS 1: 100% of 53 properties
- CSS 2.1: 100% of 88 properties
- CSS 3: 100% of 107 properties
- Total CSS: 99% of 195 properties
The only missing piece is the @font-face rule. That means websites using downloadable fonts for icons won’t display them correctly yet.
HTML Support:
- HTML 4.01: 87% of elements
- HTML 5: 78%
JavaScript: Still under development. DOM scripting and most of jQuery work. However, heavier frameworks like Google’s Closure are not supported yet.

Emalinium 1.0.0 – The Email Client
Emalinium is the companion email client with full POP3, IMAP, and SMTP support.
The Cool Part: Shared Engine
Both programs are included in the same Amelinium archive and share a common rendering engine.
What does that mean? An email with HTML and CSS will look exactly the same in your inbox as it does in the Amelinium browser.
No more broken email layouts!

99% CSS3 support is insane for Amiga in 2026. That shared engine between browser + email is genius too. Finally emails won’t look like 1998 in our clients.
JavaScript is still WIP but DOM + jQuery working means a lot of modern sites will at least be readable.
I’m downloading this today. Who else is going to test Amelinium and Emalinium?
