New Warp 1260 accelerator card for Amiga 1200

CS-LAB in Poland seems to be very active. Two Polish guys which earlier announced that they will give Apollo Team competition, when  CS530 and CS540 for Amiga 500 is out. Now they are in the wind again with their announced 68060 card for Amiga 1200 named Warp 1260.

Warp 1260 with amazing specs for Amiga 1200

Matthias Münch from Amigaworld.de in the Twitter message above reveals that the Polish company CS-LAB by Szymon Paprocki and Andrzej Rogozynski is now also working on a 68060 Turbo card for the Amiga 1200. The picture also shows that the card is in full development status.

Whatever these geniuses from Poland do. They will release a killer card for all Amiga 1200 users that wants much more authentic power.

Warp 1260 accelerator for Amiga 1200 will contain DDR3 RAM, IDE and Audio interface including the 68060 CPU. Which is very interesting.

Amiga stores worldwide

Some Amiga stores told Amitopia that Apollo Team wiped out all accelerator competition. But when they started to sell the Apollo Team products. Then these Amiga stores gave “Silence is Golden” a interesting meaning. Out of sudden that wasn’t a issue anymore. But now it seems like Warp 1260 for Amiga 1200 will be a good reason for Amiga stores worldwide to be happy.

So. Including their CS530, CS540 and maybe even CS560 accelerator card development for Amiga 500. These guys seems to take Amiga users serious.

Amitopia’s final comment in this news item is however regarding the pricing of their products and also availability. Which will be vital for their success. With Apollo Team squeezing the accelerator card prices down. CS-LAB should price their products in contrast to the pricing that Apollo Team uses on their products.
